For his second release on Spring Strut Recordings,
Indianapolis B-Boy and tropical music producer K. Sabroso pays
homage to his Garifuna heritage with the Garifunasty EP. The title track fits the bill as
a tropical bass burner that gets down right nasty! This one is for the dancefloor; it’s a
deep techy house groove with hypnotic tribal vocals and heavy percussion. On the
first remix Mike B. flips it into a sweet late night deep house groove and Skyshaker
reworks it into a slamming trance banger. Next up K. Sabroso teams up with
Afroqbano and Johnny Butter to flip the classic Take Five jazz tune into rocking
breaks with syncopated drums and Latin percussion. Wesley Clay remixes it into a
peak hour 4/4 house remix that's sure to get the floor stomping.
K. Sabroso has been hard at work since his first release earlier this year on Spring
Strut Recordings. Having released several bootleg remixes and edits, as well as
some great mixtapes has helped define K. Sabroso’s sound. Rad Summer recently
released a K. Sabroso remix of “Mulatto” by Dorsh. He has also teamed up with
several recording artists such as the Empresarios (Washington, DC) and T Bird and
The Breaks (Austin, TX) to do both a remix and provide DJ support at a live show.
With several more remixes and original productions coming soon, you can expect to
hear lot more from K. Sabroso in the next few months, so stay tuned!
